8 Nov 2009 - Tiring but enjoyable day!

This morning after breakfast, we decided to go around shopping for a netbook, in preparation for our coming trip to Melbourne. The first place that we went to is Courts MegaStore at Tampines. Before we moved out, I decided to setup Javier's car seat....yes.....finally. :-) My worry that he may not like it was proven to be a non issue. In fact, he seems so comfortable in it and fell asleep everytime when we travel from one place to another.

After noting down the prices of several netbooks that I was interested in, we moved on to our next destination, Suntec City. Again, Javier fell asleep during the journey. We went to Harvey Norman and Carrefour to look for their promotional netbooks. In Carrefour, there is a small new area in the children section where they set it up as a little playground. Jerlene and Javier had some funtimes there before we left the place for our final destination, VivoCity.

VivoCity is getting more and more crowded nowadays. We went straight to Challenger and Best Denki for netbooks and noted down the prices. Afterwhich, we just walked around the place and had some coffee at Coffee Beans while my angels had their milk. We had our much needed rest there before going up to the outdoor roof where we can look across to Sentosa.

There was a huge Christmas tree and other Christmas decoration, which is nice for some photo taking.

As we walked around, we saw some full-size cow models, then we realized that there is actually a Marche restaurant here. The location and the view from this restaurant somehow reminds me of the Marche in Hong Kong, at the Peak, which also had a fantastic view. Anyway, Jerlene loves the cows so much that she went on to hug and milk them...... :-)

We had a great view of Sentosa and the upcoming Integrated Resort (Resort World). We can see the castle in Universal Studio was more or less completed. I believe this is the castle in the movie Shrek. The few hotels beside it was still under construction but seems to be completed soon. From the news, Resort World Sentosa will be opened in early 2010.

Read here for more info on Resort World Sentosa.

Today was really a tiring day but enjoyable outing with my family. :-)
