21 Dec 2015 - Tasmania Day 8: Big 4 Safari Tent

Our accommodation tonight was at Big 4 Holiday Park, which is just a 5 mins drive from Port Arthur Historic Site.  There are an array of accommodation options here and we had booked a Safari Tent.  Yes, a TENT!  This was the first time that we stayed in a tent during a holiday trip.
This is not the ordinary tent that we pitch during a camp.  It was actually a self contained and fully equipped accommodation with a balcony.
There was even an outdoor dining area with an electrical BBQ pit and a sink.
The interior of the tent was of a decent size.  There is a living area with sofa, coffee table.......
.......a refrigerator, microwave oven and satellite TV.
Separated by a curtain was the bedroom with a double bed and a double deck bed.  There is also an attached toilet with shower.
As the sky turned dark, wild animals will start to appear all around the campus.  Pademelons (below) are the most commonly seen animals around.
Pademelons are small marsupials with a body structure very similar to wallabies and kangaroos.
I also spotted a Kookaburra on a tree right in front of our tent.
As there was not much food outlet around the area, we had instant noodles for our dinner.
After dinner, we had a fruit feast with our "harvest" from Sorell this morning.
Though it was summer, the night here was very cold!  And I mean, really COLD!!!!  :-P
