11 Oct 2025 - KUL Day 2: The Gardens Mall and Mid Valley Megamall

Few places capture Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant shopping culture like Mid Valley City, which is home to two of Malaysia’s most beloved malls: Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall. Together, they form a retail powerhouse where everyday comfort meets urban sophistication, attracting locals and travelers alike for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

From the Abdullah Hukum LRT station where we alighted, the first mall we visited was The Gardens Mall. The mall exudes elegance, with marble floors, soft lighting, and designer storefronts that reflect a premium shopping experience.
We did not explore this mall much because we were not into luxury brands. We simply passed through this mall to get to Mid Valley Megamall.
With over 400 stores, Mid Valley Megamall caters to everyone from bargain hunters to fashion lovers. There were plenty of mid-range fashion, beauty, and lifestyle shops, plus specialty outlets for gadgets, gifts, and home goods. All these suits our family better.
We had our dinner at Mak’s Chee Authentic Wonton Noodles. Originating from Hong Kong, Mak’s Chee serves its signature springy egg noodles topped with plump shrimp wontons, tender beef brisket, or roasted duck.
We did some exploration of the mall and bought some stuffs at AEON Department Store before returning to our hotel for the day. We will likely be back here on our last day.
