5 Oct 2025 - Windsor Nature Park and TreeTop Walk

We did a 90-minutes' walk during our Sunday morning walk in the last two weeks.  Today we decided to up a level by attempting a hike to the TreeTop Walk from Windsor Nature Park, which typically will take 3-4 hours for a round trip.
The trail began at Windsor Nature Park, a serene park that blends manicured landscapes with wild forest edges.  We headed straight into the Venus Loop, a relatively easy loop trail surrounded by secondary forest.
It's a great warm-up section of the hike, with well-maintained gravel paths and gentle undulations.
The Venus Loop connects seamlessly to the Drongo Trail, which marks the transition from manicured parkland to more rugged forest terrain. The trail is a raised boardwalk that takes you deep into the forest understory.
Eventually, the trail led to the Ranger Station, a rest point where several paths converge.  There are water coolers here for hikers to hydrate themselves.
From the Ranger Station, it’s a short but more strenuous walk uphill to TreeTop Walk.
By the time we reached the entrance to the TreeTop Walk, we were glad that our knees were still intact.
The TreeTop Walk is the crown jewel of this hiking route.  It is a 250-metre-long freestanding suspension bridge that spans the two highest points in MacRitchie.
Suspended 25 metres above the forest floor, the bridge offered us a bird’s-eye view of the forest canopy, with sweeping views of the reservoir and dense jungle all around.
It’s a one-way walk (entered from the Ranger Station side), and while it may not be for the acrophobic, the bridge is sturdy and safe.
After crossing the TreeTop Walk, the path looped around and eventually reconnected to the Ranger Station.
We retraced our steps, back through the Drongo Trail and the Venus Loop, and finally emerged once again at Windsor Nature Park.
Mission accomplished!  Yeah!
