28 Nov 2010 - Finally gotta play in the pool

Since we moved in few weeks back, everytime we decided to go for a swim, it will start raining. Finally we managed to have a swimming pool session late afternoon today, after a failed attempt just after lunch. Jerlene and Javier were having lots of fun, especially Javier and he refused to leave after almost an hour in the pool. We had no choice but to forcefully carry him out.

28 Nov 2010 - Tennis session

This morning, I had a tennis session with my brother-in-law and nephew. This is the first time I've played tennis in many many years. In fact, I should say, it's the first time I've exercised in many many years. Anyway, it's my first tennis session in my current place. This particular condo seems to be very focus on tennis. There are a total of 4 tennis courts and the website is all about tennis. It even organizes tennis tournament among condos at times.
Jerlene and Javier enjoyed running about and helping us to pick up balls. Great to have ball pickers....... :P

20 Nov 2010 - 爷爷

Whenever Javier sees me early in the morning or when I reach home at night, he will call me very nicely. But the thing is.....he's not calling me daddy or papa......he kept calling me 爷爷. Sigh.......though it really sounds very nice, it's simply not right. Everybody tried so hard to ask him to call me Papa, but all fail. If you ask him where is 爷爷, he will point at me! Also, whenever he sees me in a photo.....he will shout 爷爷.....爷爷!

Yesterday I thought I heard him called Papa but when I asked him to call again.......he went back to 爷爷! Sigh.......I gave up trying.......haha..................

14 Nov 2010 - Sengkang Floating Wetland

The Sengkang Floating Wetland in Punggol Reservoir is a floating structure half the size of a football field - the first of this scale to be built in Singapore. The wetland links Anchorvale Community Club to the Sengkang Riverside Park. It was officially launched recently and we decided to go and take a look.

It's a long walk but surprisingly, Jerlene and Javier managed to walk throughout. Though the weather was hot and we were very tired, it's a good outing. There is something that kept me very puzzled.....why do kids have to tilt their head to express that they are pretty? Lol.....

13 Nov 2010 - Looks more like a house now

After weeks of unpacking, my "warehouse" became more like a house now. My sofa and dining set had also been delivered. So now we had a proper dining table to have our meals, and a comfy sofa to watch TV and play Wii.

The sofa that I bought is a recliner (both sides). Pretty comfy.........

In the meantime, we have converted the area below the staircase into a kids play area. Whenever there are kids visiting our place, they all love the play area very much and refuse to leave. However, my kids only got attracted to the place during the first few days. Nowadays, they hardly step into the area.....sigh....... 真是身在福中不知足........

10 Nov 2010 - I'm ready, P.....MOTION!

Today, both Tracy and myself suddenly heard Jerlene singing a song but after listening to the words, we looked at each other and laugh.......where on earth did she learn such a song!!! This is what we heard......

Jerlene:"I'm ready, pass motion! I'm ready, pass motion! I'm ready, pass motion........"

We quickly called Jerlene over and asked her where she learnt the song. Guess what.....she said she learnt it from SpongeBob!!!!!! I suddenly remember we had the SpongeBob movie DVD and suspected that she may have learnt from it. And true enough, SpongeBob did sing the same song, but the words are slightly different.......below is the short clip.

It's actually...."I'm ready,PROMOTION!!!!"

7 Nov 2010 - Back to SSC splash park

In order to calm down Javier after he went through the "ordeal" (haircut), we decided to bring him to the Splash Park. True enough, the moment we entered the park, he stopped crying and went straight to the mini fountain.

We spent more than an hour in the park and Javier refused to leave. So we extended our stay there for another hour before we had to forcefully carry him away......... Our our way home, both Jerlene and Javier were so tired and sound asleep.......

7 Nov 2010 - Haircut nightmare

My dad and mom have been complaining about Jerlene and Javier's hair being too long for weeks. As we had been busy unpacking, we did not manage to find time until today. Actually Jerlene got her haircut yesterday at Hougang Point, which is just across the road from our apartment. However, the hairdresser said Javier was too young so refused to cut for him. As such, we had to find another salon, and the one that came to my mind is at Sembawang Shopping Centre.

We first had our breakfast at the food court. Javier still did not know what is going to happen to him........hehe.........

The moment we stepped into the salon, Javier started to sense that something is not right. He kept wanted to leave the shop and refused to come back in. When it was his turn, I had to forcefully carry him in, and that's when nightmare started.........

Once the shaver was on, Javier started to cry and struggle. Initially I had to hold onto his hand tightly. Then his leg started kicking and my helper got to hold onto his leg. With all his four limbs held tightly, he began turning his head around.........the hairdresser had to hold onto his head in order to shave for him. Fortunately, we decided to give Javier a clean cut (botak) so it;s so much easier. The entire process lasted about 20mins. Sigh.......why can't Javier like Jerlene, who can 乖乖sit there throughout the process. Maybe she knows after that, we will be a pretty princess....... :)
