19 Jan 2013 - Jerlene's birthday celebration at home

Jerlene's birthday is next Friday and I planned to have a little birthday celebration for her with my family today.  We bought her a strawberry shortcake ballerina cake from Prima Deli, which has maintained its standard over the years.  We all enjoyed it very much.

12 Jan 2013 - Bun Net

We finally bought a bun net for Jerlene and we tried it for the first time today.  Our "bunning" skill is not that perfect yet but we will improve on it as time goes.  :-)

10 Jan 2013 - 听写

Today, Jerlene took out a paper from her bag and passed to me.  I thought it was some forms to be filled for the childcare centre but to my surprise, the paper contains a list of Chinese words in which Jerlene got to learn how to write.  There will be 听写 (equivalent of spelling) starting from the following week.  When I look at the words, I was shocked that some of them are pretty hard.  Below are the full list of words to learn  for this semester.  I actually do not recall I had 听写 when I was in kindergarten.  What really surprised me was that Jerlene already know how to write the words for the 2nd and 3rd week.  They probably had started practising in school.

1 Jan 2013 - Happy New Year!

Another year has passed.  It has been 6 years since I started blogging in 2007 when Jerlene was borned.  Actually I have never thought that I could have such discipline and perseverance in updating my blog after so many years.  I personally think this is worth the while because whenever I look back at those memorable moments, it gives me such a nice and warm feeling.

This year, Jerlene will be in K2 while Javier will be in nursery.  Hopefully they can be more obedient and fight lesser.  It will be too wishful to hope that they do not fight at all........  :-)

In general, I hope that 2013 will be a great year for my family and myself.  I wish everyone who is reading this blog now a prosperous year ahead.
