22 Sep 2026 - Scholarship Recipients from TJC

Congratulations to all the award recipients of DSTA JC and MOE ETPS scholarships from TJC!

17 Sep 2026 - The Haze Persists

In recent days, we could look directly into the sun without hurting our eyes.  All thanks to the hazy condition due to smoke drifted over from Kalimantan and Sumatra. Really hope the haze will clear up soon.

14 Sep 2026 - CSIT Scholarship Award at Flower Field Hall @ Gardens by the Bay

We attended CSIT Scholarship Award Ceremony at Flower Field Hall, Gardens by the Bay this afternoon as Javier was one of the award recipients for CSIT Computing Scholarship. We visited the Flower Dome (complimentary) before attending ceremony.
The current highlight was Gardens by the Bay's first-ever Ancient Egypt-themed floral display, celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Egypt. There were over 7,000 lilies across 46 species and varieties, featuring the Egyptian Blue Lotus, debut cultivars, plus giant South American waterlilies grown from seed.
CSIT Computing Scholarship (Junior College) is a two-year, bond-free program that nurtures young tech talent early in their academic path. This was Javier's 3rd scholarships that he received this year after DSTA JC and MOE ETPS.
There were exhibition booths at the ceremony hall showcasing some interesting projects and technologies.
Of course, there was refreshment after the ceremony.
Congrats and Well Done, Javier!

4 Sep 2026 - The Haze is Back!

Today marked the first time the air quality reached unhealthy levels in nearly three years. This was due to the transboundary smoke from forest and land fires in neighboring Indonesia (including Sumatra and Kalimantan) drifted toward Singapore.
There is no sign of the haze getting cleared anytime soon. We will all need to brace for hazy conditions to persist in the near future, with the possibility of air quality reaching hazardous level. So do take care!
