30 Jul 2022 - Damage to Corner Wall at Roof Terrace

After the contractor completed the facade painting work at our estate, I realized that they had damaged part of the corner wall at our roof terrace.  I've reported to our management office and hopefully they will send someone to fix it soon as it's a safety concern for us.

24 Jul 2022 - Visit to National Museum Singapore

The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Education to provide students with opportunities to showcase artistic talents and to promote art appreciation in schools.  The 2022 exhibition theme "Artist and Sustainability" invited students to submit original artworks that consider how individual efforts and collective actions could positively impact the world we live in and benefit future generations.
All submissions to the 2022 Art Exhibition will be showcased in the online gallery via the SYF website.  In addition, a curated selection of student artworks is presented for public view at National Museum of Singapore, from 13-25 July 2022.
As the artwork done by Javier and his team got selected to be showcased at National Museum, we decided to visit the Gallery Theatre and take a look.
You may view the Stop-Motion Animation Video created by Javier and team below.

5 Jul 2022 - There is no escape from Covid

Sadly, both Javier and myself tested Covid positive today.  We were having sore throat symptom since few days back but had been tested negative so far.  However, both our ART test results turned positive today.  So right now, Tracy is the only person in the family who is negative.  She actually contracted Covid in February 2022 and seems like her immunity system is working till now against the current strain.  One good thing about entire family getting Covid is that we now no longer need to isolate in the house.  It's very inconvenient when only certain family member need to be isolated and the rest need to take lots of precaution.  Anyway, let's hope we all will recover soon!

5 Jul 2022 - Missing "O" Level MTL Listening Comprehension

Jerlene was still tested Covid positive today.  As such, she was not able to take the "O" Level Mother Tongue Language (Chinese) Listening Comprehension which was held today.  The teacher will check with the examination committee whether Jerlene will need to take re-test after she recovers.

Anyway, get well soon, Jerlene!

1 Jul 2022 - IP1 Outdoor Adventure Learning Camp

Since 29 Jun - 1 Jul, Javier and his IP1 cohort were having fun at the Outdoor Adventure Learning Camp.  In the past 2 days, they had put their survival skills to the test through outdoor cooking, structure building and tent pitching.  They also had the opportunity to apply their newly acquired navigation skills as they look for checkpoints in the beautiful Coney Island.  Today was the 3rd and final day of the camp.  They were having kayaking activity where students got to explore coastal ecosystems from a different perspective and experience marine life up close.  They did it at Sentosa.

1 Jul 2022 - Jerlene tested Covid Positive

Jerlene came to me today saying she's having a sore throat.  Immediately I asked her to do an ART test and true enough, the result was positive.  I quickly brought her to the clinic where she did another ART test and result was the same.  As such, she was given 5 days MC and had to isolate herself in her room while Javier got to sleep in our room for the coming week at least.  Both Javier and myself also did ART test and results were negative.
