9 Aug 2022 - Happy National Day!!!

Happy 57th birthday to Singapore.  Can you spot the fighter jet formation in the photo below? :-)
Below shows a fighter jet zoom past the moon.
Amazing and colourful cloud formation in the evening.
As usual, there were fireworks in the neighbourhood all around the island.

9 Aug 2022 - Lunch at Yakiniku-GO @ Seletar Mall

Today is our National Day and we decided to have a good lunch to celebrate the day.  Decision was made to have our lunch at Yakiniku-GO @ Seletar Mall.  Yakiniku-GO is a quick service restaurant that doles out high-quality meats at affordable prices.
This is a yakiniku paradise for meat lovers.  All of us enjoyed the meal very much and we had marked it as another lunch place to our existing list.

7 Aug 2022 - Breakfast @ Shunfu Market

After watching the Red Lions Performance at Bishan, we drove to Shunfu Market for breakfast.  It has been a while since we last came here.  Mei Zhen Hakka Delicacies is one popular stall in the Shunfu hawker centre.
We bought Abacus Yam Ball (算盘子) and Glutinous Rice (糯米饭) which both tasted awesome!  Highly recommended. :-)

7 Aug 2022 - Red Lions @ Bishan (NDP 2022)

As part of this year's National Day celebration, the Red Lions (SAF parachute team) will be performing free-fall jumps over two heartland locations, one of which is at Bishan.  Since we woke up early this morning, we decided to join in the celebration.  By the time we reached the spectator area, the weather did not seem too good with dark clouds covering most part of the sky.  At one point, it even started drizzling and the emcee advised everyone to take shelter for the time being.  However, most of the crowd decided to stay put as they were still hopeful that the performance will go on.
Once the drizzles got lighter, we were all treated with a great view of rainbow across the field.  In fact, it's a double rainbow if you look closely.
After a 30mins delay, the sky started to clear up and the Red Lions proceeded with their iconic free-fall jump into Bishan!  Here we go.............
There were a total of 7 Red Lions landing onto the Bishan field, with the last jumper carrying a National Flag.  There was even a female member of the Red Lions this time round.  All the cheering from the crowd whenever each Red Lion landed on the field had really brought up everyone's mood.
Well done, Red Lions!  You never fail to WOW the crowd!
Following video shows the highlights of the great performance by the Red Lions.
