28 Apr 2026 - DSTA Junior College Scholarship (YDSP Congress 2026)

We were invited to attend YDSP (Young Defence Scientist Programme) Congress 2026 this afternoon at MBS as Javier is one of the recipients of DSTA Junior College Scholarship. This was the second time we attended the event as Javier was also a YDSP scholarship recipient two years ago. At this year's congress, other than being a DSTA scholarship recipient, Javier is also one of the exhibitors at the event showcasing his research project with his research partner.

The event started with Senior Minister of State for Defence, Mr Zaqy Mohamad, giving a keynote address.

After which was the award ceremony whereby recipients went on stage to receive the scholarship from the minister.

Refreshment was served at the exhibition hall after the award ceremony.

The minister then walked around the various exhibits and interacted with several exhibitors.

Javier and his research partner were also there to explain their research work whenever someone approached them for questions.

It was a proud moment for us parents.
