20 Apr 2026 - CKG Day 3: Hongya Cave Lights Up (洪崖洞亮灯) at Night

From Mountain Alley City (山城巷), we walked to a nearby Subway station and took a metro back to Hongya Cave (洪崖洞) for the beautiful night illumination. We managed to get to a great vantage point on Qiansimen Bridge before the actual lights up. Soon after, the place started to get very crowded.

At exactly 7:30pm, the entire stretch of buildings at Hongya Cave was lighted up. Glad that we managed to capture and experience the beautiful moment at the right spot at the right time.

As people continued to pour in, we had to "bash" our way through in order to exit the bridge. We really cannot imagine how the crowd here will be like during those absolute peak periods.

Once we managed to get off the bridge, we followed the directed path back to Hongya Cave to have a closer night view of the complex.

We left Hongya Cave at about 8:30pm and took the metro back to Chaotianmen.

We bought some 鲜肉饼 on our way back to the hotel.
