We had been seeing Chongqing Grand Theatre (重庆大剧院) from across the river over the past few days. Today, we decided to go over to its doorstep to take a closer look.
From the Subway Station, it's a short walk to the Grand Theatre.
As the theatre was closed at that time, we could only walk around its perimeter.
It was a pretty cloudy day and started raining. However, that did not dampen our mood to explore more of the vicinity. We could vaguely see the meeting point that created a striking visual split where the clearer, greenish waters of the Jialing River met the denser, muddy-brown waters of the Yangtze River.
Soon the cloud began to engulf the top floors of Raffles City.
In fact, I could zoom in to see Hongya Cave from across the river.
Our next stop is Danzishi Old Street (弹子石老街), which is just a few stations away from Grand Theatre.
Along the way, we visited Zeka Mall to have our lunch. We were surprised to see the following animals in a mall.
These were pets that people can buy and keep in their homes.
We had our lunch at the below eatery within the mall. The noodles were good, but the dessert was even better!
