Tracy went for dental checkup at Clementi today and after that, we went to IMM for lunch. Again, we have not been to IMM for quite a while and it has changed and expanded quite a bit. Luckily we went there early and the super huge carpark was full after a while. We ate at Ajisen and then walk around. As Jerlene seems to be quite tired, we went home after buying some stuff at Giant. Jerlene has been drinking quite well for the pass few days and today, we decided to let her try some semi solid food (Frisocrem) which is suitable for baby after 4 months. She seems to enjoy it because when Tracy took out the spoon to wipe her mouth (very messy), she will cry and cry until Tracy put the spoon back into her mouth. The next thing we will introduce to her is the apple juice for infant which we have bought from Giant today.
P.S. Have updated Jerlene's photo album at http://jerlenewong.spaces.live.com

27 May 2007 - The Great Singapore Sale and Bumbo
Today is the second day of Great Singapore Sale and we decided to go out early. We have been waiting for the sale to come so that those regular item which we have been wanting to buy will have discount. We parked our car at Centrepoint and went straight to John Little to purchase the bumbo seat. We have been aiming at that for a while but there's always no discount. So this time, we straightaway bought it as there is 20% discount (Usual price: $79.90). We then headed to Robinson hoping to get the FisherPrice Swing which I have been aiming. However, I could not find the swing I want. Tracy saw the swing previously at Raffles City Robinson. So we quickly drove down to Raffles City. We went straight to the Kids department and saw the swing. BUT, there is no discount for that particular swing that I want!!!!!! Sigh......so bo bian never buy lor. We actually saw one at Orchard OG but there's only 10% discount, so decided to try at Robinson. One of these night I will go there and buy liao. After that, we went to my parent's place. It seems like she started to recognise places liao. Jerlene doesn't like to be there because it's very warm (even with aircon on). She kept crying and crying and in the end, we left very early. The moment we stepped out of the house, Jerlene smiled!!!!! So mischievous........
26 May 2007 - The 2nd 6-in-1 Jab!
Jerlene took her second 6-in-1 jab today. In addition, I decided to let her take the Rotavirus vaccination (oral) as well. Jerlene kept wanting to flip when Dr Lee (from KinderClinic) was about to "jab" her. So in the end no choice, Jerlene took the jab while in the "flipped" position. I tried to use toys to distract her and when Dr Lee poke the needle in, Tracy saw Jerlene's eye suddenly "grew" bigger.....and when Dr Lee pressed down the syringe, Jerlene started to cry....... However, the crying only lasted a few seconds. Once I carried her up, she immediately stopped crying liao. I took up the 6-in-1 package today which cost $550. The rotavirus package is $180. After payment, we went to Novena Square for lunch. Haven't been there for a while and it has changed and expanded so much. We went home after a while as we worried that Jerlene may not feel well after the jab. Surprisingly, this time she was ok and did not even have any fever. You are such a strong girl, Jerlene! :-)

21 May 2007 - Jerlene FLIPS!
We have been waiting patiently for the day when Jerlene can flip and TODAY is the DAY! Jerlene finally managed to flip all by herself without our help. The moment she successfully did it, she does it non-stop. At the moment, she only know how to flip once. She will stay with her tummy down for several minutes while keeping her head up. However, she'll start to get frustrated when she got no more strength to keep her neck up. There are times when her hand got stuck under her tummy and we got to help her. Now that she can flip, the next thing will be to learn how to sit up straight or I heard some babies learn how to crawl first. Anyway, whatever it is, daddy will always be there to encourage you to learn new things. Go Jerlene GO! :)

16 May 2007 - Jerlene's 1st Laugh
Jerlene is getting more and more playful as the days pass. And she's getting more talkative as well. She can sometimes stare at the ceiling and just "uh ah uh uh" into the air. At times, it can be quite scary because she seems to be talking to something unknown and unseen........ This was commented by my MIL. Anyway, it's more fun playing with Jerlene nowadays because she starts to respond to you. She still seems to like my singing and will almost always sing along with me. Recently she likes us play with her "Peek-a-boo". Tonight when we came back from work, Tracy tried playing with her and guess what, Jerlene laugh!!!! It's no longer "uh oh uh uh". She's actually laughing....."gag gag hehehe ga heh". It was so funny......but bad thing is, we seems to have overdone it and we had a hard time coaxing her sleep later.

6 May 2007 - The first drop of tear
Today, Jerlene suddenly became very cranky for no reason and no matter how I carried her, she just dun stop crying. I sang until I almost lost my voice liao then she started to calm down a bit. And then suddenly, Tracy exclaim:"Girl girl got tears liao!!!". That was Jerlene's first tear drop! At least we now know that her tear glands have formed. :)

30 Apr 2007 - Strong baby, weak parents
My sore throat and flu has not fully recovered till now. And I think I've passed the flu to Tracy today. Now both of us are having running nose and surprisingly, Jerlene seems to be ok. To think that we all sleep in the same room , lie on the same bed, with Jerlene in between Tracy and myself, it is really unexpected that she is not affected by the flu virus. She looks so much healthier than her daddy and mommy now. Perhaps she got natural anti-bodies against flu.
Jerlene, you must stay healthy hor. Be strong and dun be like your weak daddy and mommy.....
