30 Jun 2007 - Is Jerlene calling me?

This morning, I was lying beside Jerlene and playing with her. When I turned away to get something from my bedside, I suddenly heard the word "Pa" from Jerlene. Tracy heard it too. I'm not sure whether that was coincidental or intentional but who cares...... Jerlene calls "Pa", Jerlene calls "Pa"........ Yeah!!!!

27 Jun 2007 - My Orchid bloom finally

About 3-4 years ago, we bought a few pot of orchid seedlings from mandai orchid gardens. After about a year, they did not seem to be growing. In fact, they seemed to be dying and the leaves started falling off. We had given up hope with them and we just leave them unattended in our planter. Surprisingly about a month ago, I saw a few leaves started turning green again. And today, it BLOOMS!!!!! Amazing.......this is really unexpected. Here's a picture of the 3 year old orchid!

24 Jun 2007 - Jerlene tries to crawl

Right now, Jerlene is quite expert in flipping liao. She can flip in split seconds and funny thing is, she can flip while sleeping!!!! There were a few times when we suddenly felt some movement on our bed in the middle of the night. We opened our eyes and saw Jerlene in a "flipped" position. But the thing is, her eyes is still shut! She seems to be still sleeping......a bit scary I must say......it's like someone sleepwalking.........

Anyway recently, Jerlene has tried to move around while in the "flipped" position. First she succeeded turning around, and now she always wanted to try pushing herself forward. She did move forward slightly sometimes. Jerlene, jia you!

17 Jun 2007 - My 1st Father's Day

Today is Father's Day. And it's also my FIRST father's day! Early morning, Jerlene already gave me her sweetest smile. That to me is already the greatest gift! And to celebrate, I bought myself a 32" LCD TV......haha........... :-)

13 Jun 2007 - Has Jerlene's look changed?

Looking at Jerlene's photos, many of our colleagues feel that Jerlene has changed a lot in terms of look. Is it really so? I can't really tell as I see her everyday but one thing for sure, her hair and her length are getting longer. However, the only thing that I'm concerned about Jerlene now is her weight. She seems to be stagnant at about 6kg for quite a while liao. A lot of other babies who are borned in the same month as Jerlene are already more than 7kg. A few even hit 8kg liao. According to some guidelines, a baby shld double her birth weight at month 6. Hopefully Jerlene will continue to put on weight. Funny thing is, she does not look light! She still looked quite chubby and no one actually believe that she weigh so little. Maybe her bone is light, like me......... Anyway, just hope she's healthy can liao.

8 Jun 2007 - The Swing has been assembled!

Tonight while waiting for my mahjong kah kee to arrive at my place, I decided to assemble the swing. I thought it was a simple task but it took me quite a while to fix the whole thing up. Here is a picture of the swing.

5 Jun 2007 - A swing for Jerlene

Today I took half day leave for a medical checkup. As it finished quite early, I went over to Orchard OG to buy a Swing which I've been aiming for a while. Jerlene had tried it before and she seems to like it. It is actually a 3-in-1 thingie in which it can transform into a swing, an infant seat or a toddler chair. However, I did not assemble it after I reached home as I was quite tired. Will probably fix it up over the coming weekend.

3 Jun 2007 - Two first time today

Jerlene tried apple juice (for infant) for the first time today. Tracy tried a bit and she said it's very very diluted. Jerlene seems to like it but gave us a funny look while drinking at times.

At about 3pm, we brought her down to the pool and this is also her first time. She was a bit scared initially but slowly slowly get used to the water. We put her into the float with her leg hanging down at first. She doesn't feel secure in this position. Then I carried her with half her body submerged in the water and she prefers this way. After the short pool play, she was very tired and slept while we were walking up to our place. Once we reached home, she continue to sleep until I tried to wash her up in her bathtub. She continued to sleep after the bath.

2 Jun 2007 - Jerlene's 1st Swimwear but too BIG

We went to Marina Square shopping today and bought a two-pieces swimwear for Jerlene. However, Tracy a bit blur.....she let Jerlene try the bottom piece with the diaper on. Then she still said, "hmmm......quite fitting". When we got home, then she realized, "Shit, go swim shld not be wearing diaper one right...." Of course lar......and obviously the swimwear is too big liao. Must go change within one week.

1 Jun 2007 - Forum babies

Tracy has been participating in forum discussion (www.singaporemotherhood.com) since she was pregnant. One of the mommies in the Feb 07 threads posted a collage of all the Feb 07 babies (based on EDD). It was very nicely done so wanted to share to you all.
