31 Mar 2023 - My Young Man is 14!

Javier turns 14 today.  He requested to have dinner at Yakiniku-GO and off we went.  Jerlene had an appointment with her friends so unable to join us for dinner.

After dinner, we went to Swensen's and bought an ice cream cake (new flavour - Peanut Butter and Oreo) home.

When Jerlene was back home, we had a mini celebration at home.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Javier!

This Peanut Butter and Orea Ice Cream cake tastes much better than the standard one, though slightly more expensive, it's worth it.  We all love it!

28 Mar 2023 - Constellation of Orion

Tonight I decided to try out my Iphone 14 Pro night mode shot at my roof top.  With all the urban lights around, I've never been able to capture the stars in the night sky in the past.  However, with this phone, at least I can capture some of them, even with lights around.

Below is the constellation of Orion.  Tried to capture the Milky Way but failed.  Need to go someplace far away from all the urban lights.  Somewhere like this.....

25 Mar 2023 - Our New "Baby"

Today is a very emotional confusing day.  We are going to part with our car, which we had driven for past 8 years.  It has served us very well except for the past one year, in which it started to throw tantrums regularly.  As such, we have decided to let it go.....

But the good news is, we now have a new baby!  Time to "unbox" it!

I'm quite amazed by its smaller engine which is able to power such a big car.  Of course, don't expect it to be able to speed up like our previous baby but what it can provide is comfort and quiet.  Can't wait to drive you home!  :-)

8 Mar 2023 - Distinction in Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)

Javier received a Certificate of Distinction for Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) today.  Scoring a distinction in this competition means Javier is among the top 5% of his year in Singapore.

Well done Javier and congratulation to all in TJC, who participated, for their exceptional performance!

8 Mar 2023 - Dinner at Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong

We celebrated our 23th anniversary at Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong, a new expression of Singapore seafood cuisine.  It is the first fish-farmer-owned restaurant in Singapore to serve locally-farmed seafood.  All the seafood in the restaurant is shipped directly from its own Kelong, one at Sembawang and the other at Changi.

We ordered Roasted Prawns, Fried Baby Squid, Curry Mussels and Canto Grouper.  Every dish is super-licious, one of the better seafood meals we had so far.

For all seafood lovers, this restaurant is highly recommended, and booking is required, even on weekday.
