13 Aug 2023 - Distinction for Grade Six Ballet by BBOdance

Once again, Jerlene achieves Distinction for her Grade Six Ballet exam, by BBOdance, an international dance awarding organisation previously known as the British Ballet Organization (BBO).  This time round, she actually barely made it.  Nonetheless, it's still a distinction, so well done, Jerlene!  :-)

11 Aug 2023 - Great dinner and night out at Changi Jewel

After work, we went to Changi Jewel to have our dinner.  Based on some reviews that we saw on the internet, we decided to try out The Sampanman.  This casual dining place is cozy and exudes a countryside charm.  The Sampanman brand pays homage to the ingenuity of traditional seafaring ethnic groups of the Southeast Asian region like the orang laut that lived on wooden boats on coastal islands. These ethnic groups made a living from fishing and are known for having access to fresh seafood produce, allowing a diet that predominantly consists of delicious and hearty seafood recipes.  Following were what we ordered.  It was delicious!

After dinner, we walked to the world famous Rain Vortex for the free daily light show.  We never get bored looking at the majestic waterfall.  The whole place is such an architectural marvel with no pillar!

9 Aug 2023 - Celebrating 58th Years of Independence

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

We were able to witness the NDP Flypast by our RSAF squadrons on our roof terrace.

At night, there were fireworks at various heartlands around the island as usual.  Wish Singapore to continue to achieve more at the global stage, which we all can be proud of.

9 Aug 2023 - Lunch at Sushi Tei @ Serangoon Garden

It's National Day today and we had our lunch at Sushi Tei @ Serangoon Garden.  I thought there would be a queue to the restaurant but surprisingly, there wasn't one, which was great.  The food here never disappoints.

During payment, I realized that there is a membership programme whereby I could sign up for $68 and instantly receive $80 credit which I could use immediately.  As such, it's a no brainer to sign up.

6 Aug 2023 - Huge Slug!

While doing gardening at our roof terrace today, I was shocked by a huge slug creeping around.  I had seen slugs in the past, but this is no doubt the largest so far.  Yucks!
