As usual, we started our CNY visiting at my parents' place.  Our family photo this year has a new member.  :-)

28 Jan 2025 - CNY Eve's Reunion Dinner

It's CNY eve today and as per our yearly tradition, I brought my parents over to our place for reunion dinner.  Before the actual steamboat dinner, let's do some Lohei..... HUAT AH!

25 Jan 2025 - My little princess is Eighteen!

Today is my princess's 18th birthday.  Yes, she's 18!  But she's forever my little princess.

Since we were having an early CNY reunion dinner with my parents and siblings, I bought a cake there to celebrate my girl's birthday as well.

Happy Birthday, My Girl!

This marks my 18th year of blogging and to me, that's an incredible achievement as well.  I will continue to blog about my little princess and little prince for as long as I can.

14 Jan 2025 - First Rainbow Sighting of the year

There was a light drizzle this morning and while on my way back, I saw a faint rainbow over a HDB flat.  This was my first rainbow sighting of the year 2025.

The rainbow stayed for quite a while and I could still see it after I reached home.

3 Jan 2025 - Sigh, what a start to the year!

Today is my first working day in 2025.  It was quite uneventful until in the evening when I was on my way home, a lorry crashed into the back of my car. My car's rear windscreen was smashed but fortunately, I was not injured from the impact.  What a start to the year!

While I was taking down details with the lorry driver, a stranger on a motor bike came to render "assistance", claiming he can help with all the repairs and insurance claims.  He's quite persistent but both the lorry driver and I simply ignored him and contacted our own agents.  Beware not to take help from such stranger as they probably charge you a "bomb" for the repair fee and worse, you may not be able to claim from your insurance to cover the high repair cost.  In fact, when I reported the accident, there is a question on the form asking whether I was approached by any stranger after the accident.  Key thing is to remain calm, just take down the details of the other party involved and call your own agent or trusted workshop.  Stay safe, everyone!
