We were told that we can take as many pictures as we want in the cathedral, unlike many others.
At the corner, we walked down the stairs to visit the crypt, where many relics are being stored.
Just across the road, there was a playground. The moment Jerlene and Javier saw it, I knew that we had to spend sometimes there in order not to disappoint them, After spending about half an hour in the playground, we drove to another nearby attraction, H.M.A.S Sydney II Memorial. This memorial was built to honour the 645 Australian soldiers who were lost off the coast of Western Australia during WWII.
The roof of the dome is actually made up of 645 seagulls.
We then drove around the town and saw an Old Geraldton Gaol (Jail).
By now, it started to drizzle and we quickly went to a nearby shopping mall (Northgate) for lunch. After lunch, we bought some dried food from Coles before embarking on another 2hrs drive to Kalbarri.
