Last weekend, we had missed the Chingay parade near our place. As such, today we were determined not to miss it again. The starting point is at Serangoon Ave 3, right in front of Braddel Heights Community Centre. We went there at about 6:15pm. That stretch of road was closed and we were able to come very close to all the floats.
This is our first time seeing a "dragon" (dance) made up of sunflower.
The kids were ready for the parade to start.
Just before the float moved out, the street performers started walking around on stilts. Here comes the Fu Lu Shou (福禄寿).
At about 6:45pm, all the floats were lighted up and slowly moved out on their planned route.
