As we walked into the building, we felt a sense of familiarity. It's like our Sim Lim Square back home.
Here's the Digital Hub at Sham Shui Po.
There are many food outlets along the few roads around this area and we decided to have our lunch at a small restaurant called 烧鹅大王 (King of Roasted Goose). After lunch, we walked to Apliu Street (鸭寮街) Flea Market, where stalls around are selling new and second hand electronic devices, audio-visual equipment and telecommunications products.
We then proceeded to Cheung Sha Wan Road (长沙湾道), which is a wholesale fashion street. Locals are here looking for brand-names at discounted rates. As we are not the type who can bargain well, especially when we got to do it with our "limited" Cantonese, we just did some windows shopping and experienced the atmosphere.
From Sham Shui Po, we took MTR to Lai Chi Kok (荔枝角) station which is just two stops away. We walked out of the station from Exit C, turn right into Tung Chau West Street, turn right at Castle Peak Road and go straight till we see the Hong Kong Industrial Centre.
This place is the Fashion Wholesale Centre which is very popular among the locals.
This centre is huge with countless shops selling clothes and accessories mainly for the females. Ladies who love shopping for fashion can probably spend the whole day here. After covering the first two levels of this centre, we decided to leave this crowded place. We took the train back to Mongkok (旺角) and it started raining heavily. As such, we went indoor to Langham Place (朗豪坊) and decided to look for a dessert place.
We were fortunate to get a table at Passion by Gérard Dubois where we had delicious ice cream on a "Tulip" waffle. Finally can catch some rest after half a day of walking.
