We were at Ci Yuan CC around noon time today to attend the Edusave Merit Bursary Presentation. This is the first time both Jerlene and Javier are receiving the awards together. The arrangement this year is slightly different from past years as the organizer will need to ensure all safe measures are properly in place. Firstly, each award recipient can only have one family member to accompany him or her to the presentation. So for us, since both Jerlene and Javier are recipients, we were allowed to attend the presentation all together. Secondly, only a small group of families are allowed to enter the theatre at any one time. Also, the speech by our MP, Mr Darryl David, was shortened. And if you see the photo below, each family will have to keep a safe distance away from Mr Darryl David during photo taking. Masks must be put on at all time. Regardless, I appreciate the fact that despite the difficult situation now, Mr Darryl David and his grassroot members still put in effort to organize this award presentation to recognize the students' achievement.
