From the Aquarium, we walked back to Queen Victoria Market (QVM) along Elizabeth Street. Before we reached QVM, we passed through Flagstaff gardens. It is the oldest park in Melbourne. On the northeast corner over William Street, is the Queen Victoria Market. It's supposed to be closed on every Mon and Wed. However, starting from 25 Nov 09, which is today, there will be a Suzuki Night Market every Wed for the next few months. The place started to get very crowded at that time (about 6:30pm). I guess a lot of them are locals who come here and meet up with friends.
There were a number of performances in different parts of the market. As it was dinner time, most people gathered around the whole stretch of food stalls. I thought we could have a cheap dinner but to our surprise, the food that they were selling were very expensive. As such, we decided to buy something, probably instant noodles, back to our hotel and feast. There was a Korean Minimart nearby and that's where we bought the noodles and some drinks.
Back in our hotel, Jerlene and Javier were having so much fun on the bed, playing with a balloon which Jerlene took it at the market. It seemed like the hotel bed was the most enjoybable place for them.
This is the day 3 of our trip, and it ended at QVM. Another hot an tiring day.
