Our plan for today was to explore places of interest around George Town. From the map, we saw a 3D Glow in The Dark Museum not far away from our hotel. We started walking towards that direction. When we walked to the corner of a stretch of shop houses, we still did not see the museum entrance. So we began examining the map again and confirmed the location is exactly where we were standing. We then turned around and "TADA".....it's right behind us! :-P
This Dark Mansion is the first and only 3D Glow in The Dark Museum in Malaysia. The first section of the museum is as though we had entered the World of Avatar! We stepped into a jungle with lots of colourful glows all around.
One of the attraction in this museum is the artwork called "Water and Fire". Under different lighting, it presents different effect as follows. In fact, this is the World's largest anamorphic glow-in-the-dark pavement painting with day-to-night transition effect!
We were then brought up to the moon to have a closer look of the night sky.
One good thing about most 3D museums in Penang is that there are staffs stationed at every section of the museum to help visitors take photos.
Once again, we entered a tropical forest with glow in the dark effect.
This is quite a small museum and if it's not crowded, you can probably complete it within 30-45mins.
