Our accommodation for this Penang trip is Hotel Kimberley at George Town. It's location is great as it is just a short walk away from Komtar and there are many famous local food around the area. In the photo below, the tall tower behind Hotel Kimberley is Komtar.
We booked a Raffles Suite which is the only room type in this hotel that can accommodate 4 people. The room comes with 2 large double beds and a balcony. Other than that, nothing special about the room, which is like any typical hotel room.
Our room comes with breakfast for 4. The breakfast place is in a small cafe on the ground floor with very traditional decoration.
During weekend, it serves buffet breakfast for the hotel guests.
On weekdays, we have 2 choices. It's either the Nasi Lemak set or the Continental set.
From the outside of the cafe (below), you will not have thought how it will look like from the inside. In fact, I would not have realized this is the entrance to a cafe if I did not see the signboard promoting its set lunch. :-)
