20 Dec 2017 - Shanghai Day 6: Toy Story Hotel (玩具总动员酒店)
As we stepped inside the Toy Story Hotel, we entered a world of imagination inspired by the Disney·Pixar film series, where playthings come alive and there’s adventure around every corner.
The corridors outside the hotel rooms were very clean, neat and nicely decorated.
And here is our room with two twin beds.
The room was equipped with all the usual stuffs and it was comfortable.
We got a room that is facing Disneyland and tonight, we managed to catch some fireworks from our room. :-)
20 Dec 2017 - Shanghai Day 6: Disneytown at night (夜间迪斯尼小镇)
We were back at Disneytown after exploring Shanghai Village.
Before having our dinner, we decided to have an experience of how it feels like to be walking down the red carpet.....without the fans by the sides of course..... :-P
The Cast and Crew of Star Wars movie were here taking photos few hours ago. Now it's our turn to pretend to be one. Let's pose!
The entire Disneytown was beautifully lighted up at night.
We had our dinner at Dondonya Japanese Restaurant.
The food was great.
Jerlene and Javier fell in love with Teriyaki Chicken Don and requested to return here for dinner tomorrow.
After dinner, we bought some bread from BreadTalk for tomorrow's breakfast. We then left Disneytown and returned to Toy Story Hotel.
20 Dec 2017 - Shanghai Day 6: Shanghai Village (奕欧来上海购物村)
From Disneytown, we walked to the nearest Metro station where we took a short 5 minutes shuttle bus ride to a place called Shanghai Village.
Shanghai Village, which opened its doors on 19 May 2016, is the only luxury outlet shopping destination within Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone.
It is home to a unique mix of leading international and Asian luxury and fashion brands, with exceptional savings throughout the year, for men, women and children, together with luxuries for the home.
Along the shopping street within Shanghai Village, there were many "rabbits" which attracted our attention.
As the sky turned darker, these "rabbits" will light up with different colours.
At one corner of Shanghai Village, there is a children playground where Jerlene and Javier had some great fun.
By the time we left the playground, the sky was totally dark. However, the entire place was lighted up and it was beautiful.
Around evening time, we took the shuttle bus back to Disneytown to have our dinner.
20 Dec 2017 - Shanghai Day 6: Star Wars Premiere in China!
While exploring DisneyTown, we came to a street with a long stretch of red carpet. Both sides of the street were crowded with people holding Star Wars posters. After searching on the internet, we realized that the movie "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" premieres in China at Shanghai Disney Resort with Cast and Crew today! This was a pleasant surprise.
After much wait, the cast and crew of the blockbuster movie finally arrived at the red carpet. I managed to catch a glimpse of Daisy Ridley (Rey), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), director Rian Johnson and producer Ram Bergman from afar.

20 Dec 2017 - Shanghai Day 6: DisneyTown
It's just a 5 minutes shuttle bus ride from Toy Story Hotel to DisneyTown. DisneyTown is an exciting shopping, dining and entertainment destination open to the general public right outside of Shanghai Disneyland at Shanghai Disney Resort.
In addition, Disneytown also features one-of-kind restaurants and shops you won’t find elsewhere - including World of Disney Store, the first store of its kind in Asia.
After walking around in search of good food, one familiar name was spotted by Jerlene and Javier. Without much thinking, our lunch place had been decided. At home, Xin Wang Restaurant (新旺茶餐厅) is one of their favourite food outlets. They were surprised to see it in Shanghai.
The store that we spent most of our time in DisneyTown was Lego Store.
Jerlene and Javier put on their creative hats and started building spaceships with Lego blocks.
Located along the shores of Wishing Star Lake, this international crossroads of eclectic shops and eateries amid waterfront views is home to the Walt Disney Grand Theatre.
By the time we finished our lunch, it's almost 3pm. We felt that it's not worth to enter Disneyland at this time with a full day fare. As such, we decided to explore DisneyTown and surrounding area for the rest of the day. We will spend the whole day tomorrow in Disneyland.
