The afternoon session for Kids' Club starts at 2pm. As it's still early, we decided to walk around the ship to see what activities were available. There was a competition by the poolside looking for the "World Sexiest Man". During the competition, those sporting male participants had to use their charm to attract the attention of three female judges. It was fun and we all had a good laugh throughout the competition.
After which, we went to the Cards and Games corner on Deck 10 to have a round of Scrabble. There were other board games available such as Chess and Backgammon. We were very surprised to even see a few Mahjong sets in the drawers. I was told that on some other cruise lines, you need to pay for a room to play mahjong. On Royal Caribbean, we do not have to pay a single cent to enjoy most of its facilities.
While Jerlene and Javier went for their Youth Program, we went for the Big Screen Movie at Aurora Theatre. It was showing Jurassic World today. We told the kids to meet up in our stateroom at about 5pm before going for our dinner together.
Below were what we had for dinner this evening. Delicious!
In order to entertain Jerlene and Javier, our dedicated waiter, named Stanley, folded a napkin chick for them. He even taught us how to do it.
Right after dinner, Jerlene and Javier went back to Kids' Club for their night activities. Tracy and myself proceeded to the Centrum for the Captain's Welcome Onboard Reception.Following that, we got ourselves seated at the Aurora Theatre for the Headliner Showtime starring Peter Byrne, an Irish/Australian Neil Diamond impersonator. After the show, we wanted to have some snacks and beverages from Windjammer but it was closed for the day. We were advised to go over to Park Cafe (opens 24hrs) at the Solarium instead. We ordered some cakes, cookies and soup and decided to enjoy them at the comfort of our stateroom.
Soon after, Jerlene and Javier returned from Adventure Ocean Kids' Club. When they saw the snacks that we were having, they decided to go and get some for themselves.
The sea tonight seemed pretty rough as we sailed over the Tasman Sea, which is one of the roughest waters for cruising. When I looked out of our balcony, I could see lightning flashing all around. The sea looked very scary whenever it got lighted up by the lightning. We all felt a bit giddy so we went to bed soon after.
Tonight, we will adjust our time an hour forward.
