While waiting for the Mandatory Emergency Drill, we went up to Deck 13 (highest deck) for a mini golf session. It felt amazing to play mini golf high up on the ship with Harbour Bridge and Opera House as our backdrop.
Jerlene and Javier were having so much fun. After several rounds of mini golf, Jerlene and Javier decided to play some table tennis.
The Emergency Drill were conducted at 3:30pm for all guests. This is to familiarize us with our Muster Station and the safety routine onboard. There were different assembly stations for different group of guests and we were assigned to assemble at the Aurora Theatre.
Soon after the safety drill, the ship set sail at about 4pm.
At this time, most people gathered around the pool deck for the Sailaway Dancing party. According to the Cruise Captain, Sydney is one of the nicest ports to sail away and is one that is not to be missed.
Good bye Sydney! And New Zealand, here we come!
As we sailed away, we passed by Fort Denison (below), which is part of the Sydney Harbour National Park. It is a protected national park that is an heritage-listed former penal site and defensive facility occupying a small island located north-east of the Royal Botanic Gardens.
