21 Nov 2018 - Cruise Day 1: First look of the ship and lunch at Windjammer Cafe

After we checked in at the Terminal, we immediately boarded the ship.  The moment we stepped onto the ship, Jerlene and Javier were given a wrist band each, which is mandatory for every kid.
As our cabin will only be ready at about 1pm, we went directly to Windjammer Cafe for our lunch.
Windjammer is the preeminent buffet option on all Royal Caribbean's cruise ships.  We love the spread that ranges from Asian Cuisine, Continental Selection, Seafood, Dessert, Bakery, Fruits and more.  We will likely be having our breakfast and lunch here for the coming 10 days.  In fact, we will pop by as and when we feels like eating, drinking and relaxing.
After lunch, we had a first look of the ship.  It's a different feeling looking at Opera House and Harbour Bridge on board the cruise.
Below is the main outdoor pools, with a Sky Bar on one side and a large movie screen on the other.
There is also an indoor pool (below) called Solarium but kids below a certain age are not allowed into the pool here.
Other outdoor activities on board include a Rock Climbing Wall, a Basketball cum Street Soccer court and a Water Slide (which is new).
The interior of the ship is very elegantly decorated.
Even the entrance to the toilets looks like you are in an Art Gallery.
Before going to our cabin which was ready at 1pm, we went to Adventure Ocean to sign Jerlene and Javier up for the Youth Program (or Kids Club) which is what they have been looking forward to.  Based on their ages (9-11 years), they will be joining the Voyager group.  In our previous Cruise two years ago, I had to sign in and sign out for them every session.  This time round, Jerlene is old enough to sign in and out for both herself and Javier.  This will be good for us in that if we are engaged in some on board activities such as watching a movie, we do not have to step out to go sign them out.  They can sign themselves out and return to our cabin to wait for us.
Next, let's go take a look at our cabin.
