We took a day off from work and went JB for some good food and entertainment. First, we had our brunch at a Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant called Ta Si Xi (大四喜). There are several outlets in JB and the one we went is near Austin Heights.
The Dim Sum here was really good.
After our meal, we went around the vicinity and did a bit of exploration.
The Nanyang Street mural is a striking outdoor gallery that captures the essence of a bygone era with vibrant storytelling. Walking along this mural is like walking through the pages of Nanyang's history, offering both education and nostalgia. There are many interesting shops, cafes and restaurant in this area. It's going to take us many trips here to try out everything.
On Google map, we saw a place called Little Paris which is just round the corner. We decided to go take a look as the photos posted seems interesting. However, when we reached, we were pretty disappointed as the building seemed deserted.
Next, we drove to one of our favourite malls in JB, ÆON Mall Tebrau City.
Our plan was to watch a movie, "Avatar: Fire and Ash". The ticket price is so much cheaper here than back home. After we finished watching this 3+ hours long show, we decided to watch another Chinese movie, "寻秦记". This was our first time having a movie marathon. :-)
As we still had sometime before the next show starts, we went to have a quick bite at Restoran Hua Mui.
Our return trip was very smooth at both customs. Overall, this trip was very relaxed and fruitful.
