This time, Jerlene and Javier were taught how to use a rope to rescue others in the water.

9 Jun 2017 - Flying back home (CPH -> SIN)
Mommy wanted to have the yummy hotdogs for breakfast, however it was not available in the mornings. Hence, we had pastries and coffee at Upper Crust before making our way to the Airport.
Our flight departed from Copenhagen Airport at 12:30pm.
Soon after taking off, I looked out of the window and saw the following amazing scenery. There were rows and rows of windmills out at sea. These are Danish Windmills situated just outside Copenhagen Harbor at the shallow area of Middelgrunden. The power generated is used to supply Copenhagen with environmentally friendly electricity.
As our flight climbed to a steady height, we had a superb view of beautiful cloud formation beneath us.
An unexpected incident happened during the flight. Jerlene's shaky tooth dropped off while she was having her meal!
Below were what we had for our on-board lunch.
After lunch, we decided to catch some rest before touching down at Changi.
We were served with a second on-board meal before we landed at Changi airport.
This marked the end of our Iceland and Copenhagen trip. This was one of our longest trip overseas and we enjoyed it immensely despite the wet and cold weather. Having said that, it gives us a good reason to go back to Iceland and Copenhagen again!!!

8 Jun 2017 - Copenhagen Day 3: Tivoli Gardens AGAIN!
After dinner, we were back again at the Tivoli Gardens for.....the popcorns!!!
Tonight, we were able to explore the place much better as it was not raining.
As mommy wanted to get some cookies from the supermarket, we left after getting the popcorns and walking through the park.

8 Jun 2017 - Copenhagen Day 3: Dinner at Poonchai Thai Restaurant
As Javier wanted to go Tivoli Gardens to get popcorn again, we headed back to the hotel to get our warm clothings for the night. We stopped at a Thai Restaurant near our hotel, across the Central Station, for dinner.
We had a good and hearty dinner there.
In general, we found the food at Copenhagen very good, although slightly pricey compared to the prices at home.

8 Jun 2017 - Copenhagen Day 3: Strøget Shopping Street
This was our last night at Copenhagen, and also the last night of our trip. Like all our previous trips, we usually go shopping on our last day to get souvenirs and spend our surplus foreign currency. We did the same this time and made our way to the famous Stroget Shopping Street.
Strøget is Copenhagen's aorta and one of Europe's longest pedestrian streets with a wealth of shops, from budget-friendly chains to some of the world's most expensive brands.
The 1,1-kilometre stretch covers the streets Frederiksberggade, Nygade, Vimmelskaftet and Østergade and runs from City Hall Square to Kongens Nytorv square. As we walked along the streets, the kids got hungry and we ordered crepes for them to munch along the way.
As we walked along Strøget Street, we could see several of Copenhagen's beautiful sights and attractions as well as street entertainers.
We bought some souvenirs and headed back to our hotel as it started to drizzle.

8 Jun 2017 - Copenhagen Day 3: H. C. Andersen Fairy-Tale House and The National Museum of Denmark
Next, we visited the H.C. Andersen Fairy-Tale House.
It was a very small little museum displaying many of the characters and props from Andersen Fairy Tales.
The props were very colorful and there were many buttons that the kids could press to activate the animations.
After visiting the Fairy-Tale House, we went to the National Museum.
There were quite a few interesting exhibits, especially the one that required the use of metal detectors to hunt for items. Once a historical item was detected, an image appeared on the small screen of the metal detector and a description of the item can be heard over the headset.
After searching for almost 15mins, we made our way to the Children’s Museum within the National Museum.
There were many exhibits in the Children’s Museum that encouraged role playing and the kids had fun there.
We went to the National Museum exhibits after the Children’s Museum was closed at 4pm.
Jerlene and Javier were very interested with all the runestones at one of the exhibits.
We spent an hour walking around the museum. Before leaving, we saw an ancient wagon wheel on display. Guess what, when Javier saw it, he shouted:"Pokeball"! Well, it does look like one and we all had a good laugh! :-)
