First, we walked through the Grand Arch, which we had drove through earlier.
We then walk down a trail towards the Blue Lake. On the way, we looked up and saw Carlotta Arch above us.
We also passed by De Burghs Bridge along the way.
Within minutes, we were able to see part of the Blue Lake.We decided to go closer and glad that we did. The water was incredibly BLUE!
The surreal water is naturally coloured by the refraction of light upon the limestone deposits and bed-rock.
If we were lucky, we may be able to catch a glimpse of platypus that resides in this lake. However, we did not see one probably because the time was not right. I was told that we will have a better chance in the early morning when they swim up to the surface for feeding.
We then returned to the Grand Arch where we waited for our cave tour to start.
