The first tour that we took at Sovereign Hill was the Gold Mine Tour. It was not included in the day pass but it's definitely worth to spend the extra to hop on this guided tour.
The tour started by hopping on to a tram-like vehicle that brought us down to the underground gold mine.
Once we were underground, we were able to experience what life was like for a miner.
We also got to explore a labyrinth of tunnels and original mine shafts hidden below Sovereign Hill.
The duration of the tour is about 45 minutes and booking is essential as places are limited.
