3 Jun 2019 - Busan Day 3: Busan Tower (Day and Night)

We spent quite a while taking photos at the foot of Busan Tower.
Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69 m above sea level at a height of 120 m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju.
When it's about 5:45pm, we felt that it's about time that we should go up the tower to have the day view of Busan city.  While the lift brought us up to the observatory deck, there was some animation on the ceiling of the lift, similar to the one in Penang.  Once we stepped out of the lift, we had stunning views of the surrounding.
This part of Busan is actually quite densely populated.
From the tower, we had a spectacular view of Busan Harbor Bridge, Busan Port Passenger Terminal, Namhang Bridge and Gukje Market.
There are 2 levels of observation decks on Busan Tower.  We walked down to the lower deck and came to an interesting interactive screen.  It allows visitors in Busan Tower to connect to the visitors in Seoul Tower real time.  Jerlene and Javier had lots of fun connecting and waving to different people in Seoul Tower.
Other than connecting to Seoul Tower, the screen also features a simple game and best of all, allows us to take photos and sends to our personal email.  Below are the photos sent to my personal mailbox.
Finally the sun was about to set and we started seeing buildings lighted up.
At one point, there was a special effects, music and light show on the observation deck.  Sky lanterns and fireworks could be seen over Busan.  The images were actually projected on the glass windows.
After the show, we continued to admire the beautiful night view of Busan.  We had achieved our goals of having both day and night views in one visit to the tower.
After we took the lift to descend to the ground floor, we went through a few areas where we could take interesting and fun photos.
It also has an area like a mirror maze which coupled with lots of special lighting effects simulating the four seasons.
Next we came to a small section with glow-in-the-dark effects.  The moment Javier saw the crescent, he immediately thought of imitating the little boy in the Dreamworks logo.  He used his water bottle sling as the fishing rod.  Haha.....so funny!
This was an interesting visit with stunning views of Busan.  Glad that we came as I did not plan for it initially.
Busan Tower looks more beautiful at night with the ever changing colours.
As we were about to leave Yongdusan Park, we suddenly heard some loud music coming all around us.  We turned back and got a pleasant surprise.  There was actually a light show with cool animation projected on Busan Tower.  Will upload the video at a later time.
After the amazing light show, it was getting late and we decided to travel back to our hotel.
This is the escalator that I mentioned in my previous post.
When we reached the main road at the foot of Yongdusan Mountain, there was another interactive screen which we can have our photo taken and projected on the big screen.
As we walked towards Nampo subway station, we passed by a busy shopping street.  However, we were really tired after all the walking today, so we skipped the shopping part and quickly got back to our room to rest for the night.
