Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun is located 651 m from Seoul Train Station (Line 1, 4 and KTX) and within 400 m from Hoehyeon (Line 4) and City Hall (Line 1 and 2) subway stations. The lively Namdaemun Market and Myeongdong shopping district are within a 5-minute walk from this hotel. This is our second family trip to Seoul and we all missed the street food at Myeongdong.
We arrived slightly earlier than the official check-in time. The receptionist was kind enough to allow us to check into our room.
Selected rooms boast the views of Namdaemun Gate, Korea’s first national treasure. We were told that we need to pay extra in order to upgrade to those rooms. We decided to give it a miss since we won't be staying in the room most of the time. That additional amount is enough for us to buy a lot more souvenir back home.
All of 409 guest rooms and suites are equipped with a 49-inch flat-screen TV, high-speed internet and a spacious working area.
The room was clean and neat.
The beds were so comfy that we decided to laze around before moving out to explore the vicinity.
We rested for about an hour and decided to walk across the road towards Namdaemun street. The street has stalls selling all sorts of stuffs from food, accessories to clothes, scarfs etc.
From Namdaemun, we tried to navigate towards Myeongdong. On the way, we saw the Seoul Tower at the top of Namsan.Right before we reached Myeongdong, Jerlene and Javier asked for a short at "Long-haired Girl" (Starbucks) restaurant again. Hehe.......
