After completing all three amazing caves in Waitomo, we drove to Hamilton where we would be spending our last night of this entire trip. It's about an hour's drive and by the time we reached the town, it's dinner time. Initially we thought of having our dinner at a shopping mall, Hamilton Central Shopping Centre, but the mall seemed to be permanently closed except for Kmart. As such, we walked over to another nearby mall, Centre Place, and had our dinner at Daikoku Japanese Restaurant.
After we were done with our dinner, all the shops at Centre Place were closed. There was an interactive screen which Javier had fun playing with.
Our last night of accommodation for this trip was Quality Hotel @ The Ambassador.
Located just 1.5 km from Hamilton city centre, Quality Hotel @ The Ambassador offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony or patio, plus LCD satellite TV and private bathroom. It has an outdoor pool and a BBQ area.
Our room came with two double comfortable beds. We were given a spacious corner unit with a balcony.
At night, we walked across the road to "Pak n Save" supermarket and bought some ice cream back to our room. As this was our last night in New Zealand, we did some packing before going to bed.
