Huaihai Road (淮海中路), a bustling 6-kilometer stretch in the heart of Shanghai, is a paradise for shoppers and a window into the city's modern history. Steeped in architectural charm and pulsating with contemporary energy, Huaihai Road offers a unique blend of experiences.
Our original intention to visit this place was to look for anime figurines that Jerlene like. However, the closest that we came across was a "Hatsune Miku" Cafe.Along the road there are several iconic department stores such as Pacific Department Store and Parkson Plaza.
We then saw a food store by the street selling 年糕, which once again we could not resist. It's tasted so good!
There was a Cathay Cinema Building that caught our attention at a cross junction.
From Huaihai Road, we took the metro to Yuyuan Station. During our last Shanghai trip here about 7 years ago, we fell in love with Yuyuan. As such, we planned to come here in this trip as well.
More details in the next post.
