We drove to Bedok Reservoir Park for our weekend morning walk today. I drove past Bedok Reservoir almost every day while sending Javier to school but today was my first time stepping into the park.
Soon after entering Bedok Reservoir Park from carpark A, we came to a pavilion, originally built to house the Berlin Wall. Right now, the pavilion showcases some fashion collection created by Temasek Polytechnic (TP) School of Design students, who invite visitors to pause, reflect and rediscover the beauty of sustainable fashion. These talented young designers are inspired to challenge conventional norms with purpose-driven designs and embrace their responsibility to adopt innovative eco-practices. Bedok Reservoir is a reservoir in the eastern part of Singapore, to the north of Bedok. The reservoir has a surface area of 880,000 m2, and a capacity of 12.8 million m3. The mean depth of the reservoir is 9 m, with a maximum depth of 18.2 m. The shoreline length is 4.3 km. There is a fishing deck nearby.
Bedok Reservoir opened up their Canoe Polo Court in 2024. We saw few groups of youngsters rowing Dragonboats in the middle of the reservoir.
Next, we walked to PAssion Wave @ Bedok Reservoir, which offers many recreational water sports training and activity.
The Bedok Reservoir Park was developed around the reservoir. The park is equipped with a jogging track, a children's playground, fitness stations and open fields.
Bedok Reservoir Park is also home to Forest Adventure, the largest tree top adventure park in Singapore. It comprises series of 69 obstacles at height and 4 giant zip lines over the water.
Across the reservoir is HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir Clubhouse.
A visit to a park is never complete without seeing wildlife. Had some hide-and-seek time with a squirrel. Our walk today took about an hour.
Below video captures some of the interesting sightings throughout our walk in the park.
