We took a guided day tour to Gifu Prefecture today. Located in central Japan, Gifu Prefecture is rich in nature, history, and culture, offering a variety of attractions that cater to different interests from traditional towns and castles to scenic mountains and rivers.
The bus journey from Nagoya Station to various parts of Gifu Prefecture offers a scenic, immersive introduction to the natural beauty and geographic diversity of central Japan. The bus first weaved through urban Nagoya, transitioning to suburban and industrial zones.
Soon, the scenery changed to open countryside, rice paddies, and rolling hills as we entered southern Gifu Prefecture. As the bus climbed deeper into Gifu’s interior, the mountains became taller and steeper. With every tunnel and river bend, we entered deeper into a world of timeless villages, soaring peaks, and tranquil water.
