After our experience of travelling without kids last year to Shanghai/RuiAn, we decided to do it again this year to Nagoya. We reached Changi Airport Terminal 2 at about 11pm as our flight departure time was at 1:20am. We do not visit Terminal 2 often and with its recent upgrades, we were impressed by its serene layout, especially the huge screen featuring a very realistic waterfall.
At about 12:45am, we were onboarded the flight, getting ready for departure. We opted to have our meals before sleep since we were quite hungry at that time. I had a bowl of Bak Chor Mee while watching the movie "Captain America: Brave New World".
After few hours of sleep, the cabin lights slowly brightened as we began our descent over Honshu.
Soon, Nagoya came into view, nestled between sea and mountains, kissed by morning mist.Touching down at Chubu Centrair International Airport was smooth, and within minutes, I was off the aircraft and heading through immigration.
From the airport, we took the metro (Airport Line) all the way to Nagoya Station, which cost JPY980 per ticket. The journey was about 50 minutes.
After we arrived at Meitetsu Nagoya Station, we were a bit disoriented once out of the station. So at such situation, the best was to open up Google Map and used its Live View walking guide.
