We arrived at Nanjing South Station (南京南站) at about 5:25pm.
From the station, it was a short 5 minutes' walk to Qingmu International Hotel where we would be staying in the upcoming 3 nights.
A signature defining trait of the Qingmu International tier was its integration of modern smart-room ecosystems and high-tech amenities. The room was equipped with integrated voice-activated smart guest control systems (Xiaodu "小度" style) that allowed us to control lighting, curtains, air conditioning, and room ambient functions effortlessly. The room was quite spacious too.
Below was the view from the room where we faced directly to the rows and rows of train tracks from Nanjing South Station. We could hear a very faint sound of trains departing and arriving to the station and as long as we were not light sleeper, we would not be affected.
We booked this hotel prior to the trip and with all the discounts that we got (see below), we only paid about S$58 per room per night. And at this price, it even included daily breakfast. Really worth it.
Before we began exploring Nanjing, we had our dinner at an eatery on the ground floor next to the hotel.
