28 Jun 2023 - Polytechnic Early Admissions Exercise (EAE)

The Polytechnic Early Admissions Exercise (Poly EAE) is an aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply for and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnics prior to receiving their final grades.  This is similar to the Direct School Admission for Junior College (DSA-JC) Exercise.  

After visiting NYP early this year during its open house, Jerlene has made up her mind that she wants to pursue a Diploma in Communication & Motion Design at NYP's School of Media Design.  As such, she had submitted her application via the EAE Portal today.  As part of the application, she had submitted a mandatory 600-characters write-up about the courses that she's applying.  In addition, she also submitted another 1,000 characters write-up on her achievements and talents.  In a week's time, she will be notified whether she will get shortlisted for the next round, which is some form of written assessment or test.  Wish her all the best!

14 Jun 2023 - Perth Day 7: Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre

We spent the remaining few hours of this trip at Westfield Carousel.  It's a very huge shopping mall and it's just a short 15 mins drive to the airport.

You can get 4 hours of free parking by using the Westfield app and sign up as a member.  Non-members will receive 2 hours free parking.  Of course, if you do not mind the hassle, you can also leave the car park before the time is up and re-enter to have another 2 or 4 hours of free parking.  Westfield Carousel uses a parking system that uses number plate recognition technology to replace paper tickets.

We had our dinner at Ippudo Japanese Restaurant.  The food at Ippudo never disappoint.

14 Jun 2023 - Perth Day 7: Random Lookout Point

We left Caversham Wildlife Park at about 3pm.  Soon after we left the car park, we passed by a lookout point where we decided to take a look.

Nothing spectacular here but this was the last place where we got to enjoy nature in this trip.

As our flight only takes off during midnight, we decided to drive to a shopping mall that is nearer to the airport.

14 Jun 2023 - Perth Day 7: Caversham Wildlife Park (Part 2)

Ater lunch, we were back at Caversham Wildlife Park to continue our adventure.  More amazing animals await us below.....

We ended our day at the Wildlife Park with a visit to the Koala enclosure.
