Our next stop, The Margaret River Chocolate Company, affectionately known as 'The Chocolate Factory. It is one of Western Australia's most popular tourist attractions, established more than 20 years ago as the first of its kind in the region.
The moment we entered the store, we saw 3 big bowls of chocolate, which we could take as much as our palm can fit for free tasting. Initially we were not very comfortable to take too much but one local came over to us and said, "This is how you do it" as she scooped up one big pile of chocolate and walked away. You can take as much and as many times while you are in the store. Importantly, it really tastes GOOD!
The store sells a huge, mouth-watering range of chocolate bars, chocolate-coated delights, handmade truffles, novelty chocolates, chocolate body products, chocolate sauce, cookies, ice-cream, chocolate milk and a variety of chocolate cakes. There are viewing windows where visitors could watch the chocolate products being made.
The Chocolate Cafe provides indoor and outdoor dining. We had ice cream before leaving the place.
