If you had followed my blog all this while, you would have known that during our last trip to Adelaide, we took a Sealink Ferry to Kangaroo Island and the experience was pretty bad, especially for both Jerlene and Javier. When I first told them we will be taking Sealink Ferry to Rottnest Island, they were very concerned. I tried my best to assure them that this is a shorter journey, and if we got a seat in the outdoor deck, we would likely not feel nauseous.
Fortunately, we arrived early to board the ferry before most others and managed to get seats on the outdoor deck. As the outdoor seats are very limited, it got filled up very fast.Other than Sealink Ferry, Rottnest Express (below) is another ferry operator for Rottnest Island.
At 9am sharp, our ferry departed from the ferry terminal. The journey to Rottnest Island was about 30 minutes. As we left the pier, we had a closer look at the green and red lighthouses that we saw from our apartment.
The sea was pretty clam and with the cool breeze blowing at us, the experience was so much better than that of our previous ferry ride to Kangaroo Island. During the journey, the staff gave us an ice stick each.
Soon, we could see Rottnest Island in front of us. Can't wait to see the lovely Quokkas! :-)
