Our accommodation for the upcoming 3 nights was at Vintages Accommodation Margaret River, which is located in the heart of Margaret River. By the time we reached Margaret River, it was already 6:45pm. As the reception counter had closed, we checked our email and realized that they had sent us a pin to get our room key in the number lock key box outside the room. We booked a Family Studio Suite. This large studio-style apartment has a queen bed in the main room and kitchenette/dining area. A separate bedroom with two single beds comes off the main room.
This unit also comes with a private outdoor courtyard garden where guests can relax, chit-chat over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Though Margaret River is well known for its many wineries, we did not expect the accommodation to give us a bottle of white wine as a gift.An easy two-minute stroll from Margaret River’s boutique shopping and cafe strip, Vintages is tucked one street back from a beautiful riverside forest reserve. After putting down our luggage in the room, we walked across the road to Woolworths supermarket and bought a pack of roasted chicken back to our room for dinner. We bought the chicken right after the Woolworths staff tagged it at half price as the supermarket is nearing its closing time. So that's the trick....hee.....
As we walked back to our accommodation, I was surprised that I could capture a "faint" Milky Way, despite there were streetlights along the road.
