11 Jun 2023 - Perth Day 4: Busselton

Yesterday we mainly covered the southern part of Margaret River Region so today we will be covering the north.  We first drove to Busselton Town Centre, which is about 45 mins drive away from Margaret River Town Centre.  We reached Busselton at about 10am.  Busselton Visitor Centre is situated on the beautiful Busselton Foreshore, next to the famous Busselton Jetty.
It’s also home to Shelter Brewing Co, a new addition to a growing number of local beer brewers.
Busselton Jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere at 1,841 metres long.
The depths of the Indian Ocean are so far out, Busselton Jetty was repeatedly extended, thus becoming the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.
We wanted to take the jetty train to the far end of the jetty instead of walking there.  However, all tickets for the day were sold out.  As such, we purchased the tickets for tomorrow 11am, which also include the admission to the underwater observatory.
As it's raining and since we will be returning to this place tomorrow, we did not explore further and decide to have an early lunch at a nearby McDonalds, our first McDonalds meal in this trip.
