13 Nov 2023 - Osaka Day 4: Solaniwa Onsen Osaka Bay Tower

Other than close proximity to USJ, there is actually another reason for choosing to stay at Art Hotel.  While we were researching prior to this trip, we read about a hot spring resort in the sky called Solaniwa Onsen, which looks interesting.  It is located right next to Art Hotel.  Guests of Art Hotel will get a special discount price of ¥1,950 to enter the facility.  Usual price ranges from ¥2,460 to ¥3,780.
After checking in to our room and having a short break, we decided to pay a visit to Solaniwa Onsen.  Initially we wanted to book a private bath but unfortunately, it's all fully booked.  Anyway, we were curious about what this place got to offer, so we just bought the general admission into the facility.
After paying the admission fees, it's time to get ourselves change to Yukata, an unlined cotton summer kimono.  There is an entire wall of shelves filled with different sizes of Yukata.
After choosing our Yukata, we proceeded to the changing room to put on the Yukata.
Since we did not manage to have a private bath, we proceeded to an open-air bath with fresh water bursting forth from the subterranean source.  Atop Solaniwa Onsen’s roof is an expansive Japanese garden of more than 3,000 m2.
This is how we looked in Yukata.  And yes, Javier refused to put it on.
The Sky Garden foot baths are the spot in Solaniwa Onsen that is highly recommended.  Relaxing our feet in the foot bath as we gazed upon the vast Japanese garden gave us a feeling that our body and our spirit were being cleansed.
When the sun was about to set and started to get a little bit chilly outdoor, we decided to move indoor and explore the other facilities.  Following is a facility map.
Within the facility, there are a number of dining options, various types of massages/saunas, therapy by “Dr. Fish”, large resting zone where we can take a nap, Games and Festival Stalls.
If you just want to casually walk around, there are many beautifully decorated areas where we could capture some nice photos.
If you travel to Osaka and want to have a day of complete relaxation, this is definitely a place to visit.
