After yesterday's experience of taking a bus ride, we were more familiar with how the system works. As such, we walked over to Kyoto Station this morning and took a bus from there to Kinkakujimichi (金閣寺道).
The journey was about 45mins.After we alighted, we decided to have our lunch before visiting Kinkaku-ji. We walked along the street and a small Ramen restaurant attracted our attention. It's a really small restaurant with only about 10 bar counter seats. We were fortunate to be able to get a seat immediately since it's approaching lunch time. About 5 mins after we were seated, there were many groups of customers who entered the restaurant but were told to wait outside for a seat.
There were 2 types of Ramen soup base here, one is Soy Sauce and the other is Salt Based. The staff recommended us to try the Salt Based one as it is traditional Kyoto style.
The Ramen tasted really good, especially in a cool weather.
