Today will be the main highlight of this trip. And it was none other than a full day at Universal Studios Japan (USJ). We had bought the Express Pass 7 via the online channel more than a month ago. It is a MUST if you really want to experience all the popular rides. Even though we had the express pass, there were timed entry for certain ride/area.
Universal City Station is just two metro stops away from Bentencho Station which is just next to our hotel. We had expected that it would be crowded, based on all the reviews that we had read, even though it's a weekday.
From Universal City Station, we walked through Universal Citywalk, an entertainment and shopping complex located just outside Universal Studios Japan.
The dazzling mall is jam-packed with unique and fascinating restaurants and stores.
And here we were, at the entrance of Universal Studios Japan! It's about 9am when we reached.
The queue into the theme park was not as bad as we had expected. We managed to get in within 5 mins.
Once we were inside USJ, it did not feel crowded as visitors started to disperse to the various attractions.
Our timed entry into Super Nintendo World was 10:10am. They were very strict in all these entry timing and we were denied entry when we were there at around 9:45am. As such, we decided to explore some of the nearby attractions while waiting for our entry time.
We also bought the popular Turkey Leg, which was really nice.
At about 10:05am, we returned to Super Nintendo World and quickly joined the queue to enter.
