After visiting Kodai-ji Temple, we walked back to the lantern-lit wooden street of Ninenzaka and soaked up the mythical atmosphere.
This street was crowded during the day but at night we had the streets to ourselves, and it offered a good picture opportunity. This is, in fact, one of the non-touristy things to do in Kyoto at night. This beautiful 46-meter tall wooden Yasaka Pagoda was brightly shone during the night.
It felt so unique and different to walk through Kyoto's old streets at night.
We took the bus back to Kyoto Station at about 8pm to have our dinner before walking to our accommodation.
