25 Dec 2024 - BKK Day 3 (Khao Yai): Chokchai Museum

The admission tickets to Farm Chokchai also include the ChokChai Museum which is located within the Farm Chokchai complex.  It offers visitors a glimpse into the history and diverse collections of the farm's founder, Dr. Chokchai Bulakul.
We were surprised to see a mini zoo in the museum.  First we saw a tiger, a white tiger and a black panther.
Then we came to an area that houses a number of albino animals, which include python, goats, monkey and more.
At the end of the animal exhibits, there is a Stegodon exhibit displaying a pair of real tusks of one of the largest of extinct elephants' species.
The next area is the aircraft exhibit that features a selection of vintage or light aircraft, which often reflect Dr. Chokchai's personal interest in aviation.  These airplanes may include small, single-engine planes or other types of light aircraft.
The airplane exhibit contributes to the museum's overall eclectic nature, where agricultural artifacts, vintage automobiles, and aircraft coexist.
There were also a huge range of military vehicles and equipment.
A notable feature of the museum is its display of Dr. Chokchai's personal collections of vintage automobiles.  There is a collection of classic cars, showcasing various makes and models, all with "9911" number plates.
Finally. there are displays that show the cowboy heritage that the farm has adopted.
The Chokchai Museum offers a multifaceted experience, combining agricultural history, personal collections, and cultural displays. It provides visitors with a deeper understanding of the legacy of Farm Chokchai and its founder.
